Golfing
Sequoyah National Golf Club is located 45 minutes west of Asheville, North Carolina in Cherokee nestled among the oak, fir and flowered valleys in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. Owned by the Eastern Band of the Cherokee, this Robert Trent Jones II design is open to the public and offers golfers an idyllic 18 hole journey, filled with panoramic vistas on every hole, beautiful landscapes, and a fun mountain golf experience. Additional popular courses include High Hampton and Bear Lake Reserve in Cashiers; The Ridges at Lake Chatuge and The Golf Club at at Mill Creek in Franklin.
Scenic Drive & Hiking
America’s favorite and most visited parkway, BRP offers legendary views from elevations above sea level of 5,000 and even 6,000 feet. There are many points of interest along the parkway for the entire family to enjoy – it runs just over 469 miles from the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia to Cherokee, North Carolina. There are 26 tunnels on this ridgetop road. There are many famous hikes along the parkway; we highly recommend you check out the locals’ favorite short hike to Black Balsam knob, an incredible high-elevation grassy bald that will make you feel like you’re in Lord of the Rings!
Arrowmont Stables
This 200-acre retreat offers horseback riding, trout fishing, hiking, swimming, hunting for arrowheads and gems and camping with lunch. Located about 30 minutes from the wedding venue.

With great family rafting, including rentals and guided trips down the Tuckaseigee River, from Historic Dillsboro, Dillsboro River Company is located just off 441 South before the intersection with 23/74. About 10 minutes from the wedding venue.
