What are the dates of the events?

Answer

We will have a welcome pool party on 10/23/24 and then ceremony and reception on 10/24/24. The bridal party will be down there all week. So if you want to make a week of it please join us from Saturday to Saturday. 10/19/24-10/26/24. The Bride and Groom are leaving for their Honeymoon on 10/25/24. See Schedule for week long events.

Where do we stay?

Answer

There will be a hotel block at a hotel just a few blocks from the reception house and walking distance of the beach access. Laquinta Inn and Suites Miramar Beach, Florida. You may book here at a discounted rate! Or you can always get onto VRBO or AirBNB and book your own place. All the activities are happening in Miramar Beach Florida. You may book in Destin/Sandestin area and still be very close.

What should I wear?

Answer

October is still pleasant month in Destin, Florida. The highs range from upper sixties to upper seventies. The lows can get down to the upper fifties. Welcome Pool Party The pool will be heated and there is a hot tub. Come ready to swim, sing Karaoke, play some games and just have fun. BYOB and light snacks will be available. Wedding Ceremony/Reception We ask that you dress up with us! We want you to look and feel your best! Please no jeans or shorts. Linen pants/khakis/dress pants, dresses, skirts are all great!

Can I bring a plus one or guests?

Answer

Space is limited and we are serving a meal. Please note that we cannot accommodate more than our RSVPs allow, so if the guest is not included on your envelope/RSVP card we will not be able to serve them. We want to keep this an intimate wedding. We are inviting the friends and family who are closest to us!

Do I have to attend every event?

Answer

No! If you can’t make it to the welcome party the day before but can still make it to the wedding, we want to see you! Make the week a vacation with us or come for just the ceremony, you’re welcome at any of the dates presented. We are hosting a girls day to help Mikel make her flower bouquets and arrangements. On this day the boys will be boys and go play golf or deep sea fish!

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Drinks are on us (until they run out) and the hangover is on you! Please drink responsibly, walk or Uber back to your hotel! There will be canned beers and seltzers, wine, and two cocktail options. Come on we all know the Bride, one will be tequila inspired! Our bartender is a friend of the bride and groom, she will have a tip jar, please show her some love! She’s amazing!

If I’m coming to the boys day, what do I need to know?

Golf Day is decided be prepared via attire and finances. Jon will let you know where closer to time.

Will you need any help?

Answer

Mikel is DIYing a whole lot! If you’re interested in helping day of or week of let her know! Even if you are interested prior to! We’d welcome your help!

Are kids allowed?

Answer

There will be some kids there. Mikel’s daughters, Misty and River will be there. Mikel’s young nephew, Jaxson will also be there. Also some of the wedding party do have young children. However, be mindful childcare is not provided. The ceremony is on the beach, the reception is on a pool deck with no lifeguard. We recommend you leave your kiddos at home and enjoy some kid free fun unless specified on the RSVP card.
