Durango is at the very southwest border of Colorado, about 7 hours south of Denver and 3 hours north of Albuquerque. It does have a municipal airport (serving United and American Airlines). Layovers typically go through Denver or Phoenix.
We love this area and there is so much beauty here, we'd suggest making a vacation out of it!
The wedding itself is an hour north of Durango in Silverton,
at the Eureka Lodge.
A perfect travel schedule would be:
Arrive in Durango on Thursday afternoon, sleep in Durango Thursday. Head to Silverton Friday and stay over Friday and Saturday evening. Head back to Durango on Sunday and either stay over or fly out.
Transportation will be set up from Silverton to the venue on Saturday Afternoon (aprox. 20 min drive), but there is ample parking at Eureka Lodge as well if you prefer to drive yourself.
