We're getting married!

Mike and Santi met the new-fashioned way: love at first swipe right. The spark was lit the first time Mike spoke to Santi in broken French, and Santi didn't know well enough to tell him how bad it was. When Mike actually went to France a few weeks later, he brought back a love lock from the famous Pont des Arts as a souvenir for Santi. Santi and Mike bonded initially over their love for exploring restaurants, Abba music, and rewatching the same series on repeat. Eventually, their love turned toward each other. Mike quickly learned the way to Santi's heart was through his stomach, and Santi won him back by cleaning up the many dishes. They supported each other through difficult times with work, family, and big life decisions, and began laying the foundation for their lives together. Eventually, Mike convinced Santi to go on a hike out in Leesburg. And true to the theme of one of our favorite shows (Schitt's Creek), Santi complained during most of the hike - until Mike pulled out a ring. Two months later, at a NYE disco party, Santi returned the question and asked Mike to be his "man after midnight." We are excited to share our special day with all of you as we reflect on our love and start our lives together. We are very grateful for all your love and support and are looking forward to making many new memories in the future!
