In the summer of 2018 Mike and Rachel's mutual friend Emily wanted to introduce Rachel to a friend and thought she would hit it off with him. That friend was NOT Mike... But Mike did get invited to come along with the group of friends that went to the drive in movie theater that night. Well as you already know, the match wasn't meant to be. But Mike and Rachel did end up talking with each other for the next year, until Mike finished his degree in audio engineering. This was when Mike and Rachel decided to start dating, and the rest is history!

5 years from the day they met, Mike knew it would be the perfect day to pop the question. They spent the day recreating their first date and at the end of the day they went back to the drive-in where they met. Mike had rented out a private screening of Rachel's favorite movie "Pride and Prejudice" and asked her to marry him just before the sunset.
