Hastings, which is about half an hour drive from the venue is a sweet little beach town with a lot of history. If you drive to the East End Railway, there is a trolley to take you up to the top of the cliff that boasts beautiful views of the city and the English channel. If you wind up here, we recommend trying fish and chips at one of the local restaurants (we usually go to The Mermaid) because it's so fresh and an English tradition! There is also a small lane of boutique shops that is worth a stroll.

There you'll find a beach pier, the royal pavilion, and plenty of boutique shopping in the lanes (link attached below).
The Pantiles in Royal Tunbridge Wells are a great way to spend the day wandering around shopping in small boutiques and enjoying English cuisine. We definitely recommend visiting here for a day! It takes about 30-45 minutes by car from the venue.
