Fort McHenry National Monument
Less than a mile from the Courtyard hotel is Fort McHenry, which is famous for both being the site of America's resistance to the British Invasion of the War of 1812, and for being the site of our engagement on 4/2/2021.
Diamondback Brewing Company
A staple Friday night for Maegan and Mike is grabbing a beer and pizza at this brewery located next door to the Courtyard hotel. They are known for their Green Machine IPA.
Sagamore Spirit Distillery
Maegan and Mike did a whiskey tour & tasting date here early on and became avid Sagamore fans. Tours are about an hour and cost $20 and would make for a perfect early afternoon activity to learn about Baltimore's whiskey history before the wedding.
Guinness Open Gate Brewery
If you are flying into BWI and want to start your weekend off with a fresh pint, the Guinness Brewery (their only brewery in the USA) is just 4 miles from the airport. You can take tours or just enjoy a range of fresh, unique beers in indoor or outdoor seating.
American Visionary Art Museum
A one mile walk from the Courtyard hotel is the AVAM, which is a museum of unique, visionary artwork. If you take the walk, we recommend you stop along the way at DiPasquale's Italian deli for some food.
Baltimore Museum of Industry
This museum is close to the hotel and has exhibits on various types of manufacturing and industry from the early 20th century.
Pitango Bakery + Cafe
If you'd like to travel across the water to see historic Fells Point, Pitango Bakery and Cafe is a great spot on the water for a casual breakfast.
Southside Diner
A classic diner breafast within walking distance from the hotel.
