Can I bring a guest?

We have a very limited space for our guests, and ask that only those included on the invitation come to the wedding.

Can my children come?
Answer
Due to venue capacity and limited space for guests, we cannot accommodate children beyond immediate family. We love your littles, and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

What shall I wear?
Answer
Cocktail attire is appreciated! Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, jackets and slacks. Make sure you wear your dancing shoes!

What time should I arrive?
Answer
All events are held on the 3rd floor of the library. The library is located adjacent to the busy, downtown Capitol Square. Please plan to arrive 20 minutes early (3:40pm), as parking and travel may take additional time.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?
Answer
The Madison Central Library is located downtown, right off of the capitol square. The venue is walkable from The Hilton and Doubletree hotels that are listed in the Hotels tab. For those staying farther from downtown, there are ride share options like Uber and Lyft, as well as public transit options. There are also many public parking garages along the square: https://maps.app.goo.gl/VutQCK9Nm5SCv7Nx6 .

Are events indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The entire evening will be held indoors, in the library's 3rd floor event space. All events are held within the same space.
Question
Can I take photos or videos of the wedding?
Answer
We would love to see your photos and videos from the evening! However, we request that you refrain from any cell phone usage during the ceremony itself. Our photographer will be taking beautiful photos of the ceremony - we don't want to see any cell phones in our photos!

Can we bring you a gift?
Answer
We have opted for a honeymoon fund instead of a traditional wedding registry. Explanation and information on this can be seen in the Registry tab of this website. If you bring a physical gift to the wedding, please keep in mind that we now reside in Oregon. Any physical items must be able to be shipped back to our home in Bend, Oregon.

I am not able to get a room in your hotel blocks. are there other lodging options available?
Answer
There are many hotels available near Capitol square and downtown Madison. There are many Airbnb options available within the area as well!
Question
Anything else I should know?
Answer
Please, NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL. The library has a very serious and strict alcohol policy. We will have an open bar, so no need to bring anything else!
