Lancaster Central Market is America’s longest, continuously operating public market. Since the 1730’s farmers have been bringing meats and vegetables to the site for sale to local residents. Many of today’s standholders have been “on market” since the early 1900’s. The market is open Saturdays from 7am-2pm. Our favorite stands are Saife's Middle Eastern, the Goodie Shop, and Mean Cup.
Walking around Downtown Lancaster is a great way to spend your Saturday morning. Gallery Row is the center of the Lancaster art scene. Concentrated on the first and second blocks of North Prince Street, you'll find a number of small shops and art galleries.
Only 15 minutes from downtown Lancaster, this mini golf course was recently ranked the best in the state by Golf.com. They said, "Mark Twain never would have called mini golf 'a good walk spoiled.' Not if he’d played these two courses, which are set on 13 bucolic acres of rivers, forests and wooden bridges. Playing here is like going for a hike with a putter in hand."
