Best Man
I have known Jerred (AKA Moby AKA Darkness) for almost 28 years, first meeting in 1990 when the parents moved us to Robson for the Celgar expansion. We were homies immediately and virtually inseparable in our early years. As we have gotten older we've seen trips, trials, and serious shit together but have always managed to remain tighter than two coats of paint. I have always described him as more of a brother rather than a friend in its true meaning. He's always had my back and I will always have his.
Groomsman
I met Ryan (AKA Archie) playing hockey as kids; eventually competing at the highest level of beer league that Castlegar had to offer. Easily my favorite person to light it up with and is never afraid to shotgun a beer.....in the bath tub...in our underwear. Through many days and/or nights golfing, playing NHL, and just chilling, Arch is one of my favorite homies to be around. He's also the loudest.
Groomsman
I met Ben (AKA Dova, AKA Hottest Guy on Earth) back in the day playing soccer and will never forget how much he hated Goal but the coach put him there because he had the big boot. Later down the road we kicked it at raves together. He would throw down the dankest of trance beats and eventually inspired me to dabble in the art of the DJing. Ben is the most down to earth person I have ever met with his chill demeanor and humble attitude; which is impossible not to love. He's always there for solid advice or to set you on the right path, which I will always appreciate.
Groomsman
I met Ryan (AKA Ryke) quite late in comparison to the other dudes however friendship was a non issue with us. Some of the best memories I have with Ryan is rocking out in the Fractal Funk Jam with the weirdest shit we can possibly find to wear, oilers games in Edmonton, and countless extremely satisfying colander trips. Ryan is extremely creative. He launched his own mens and womens underwear line RAREFORM; which I can easily say inspires everyone that knows him. An incredible B-Boy, entrepreneur, and easily the funniest person I have ever met.
Maid of Honor
I met Daina (AKA Candy, Mabel, D-nugs, Danish, D-stain....the list goes on) when she started working in the same department as me at Trail hospital. After a month or two of work chats, I invited Daina to join me on my first ever houseboat trip to the Shuswap (2011). She said "YES"! That trip we became fast friends over twister games and late night hot tubs. I have had too many great times with Daina over the years to count; from music festivals to Vegas trips and beyond. I have learned never to say "no" to her dinner invitations and to always say "yes" to her adventures (uh hmmm Greece). This soul-bestie owns a huge chunk of real estate in my heart and I am honoured to have her stand by my side.
Bridesmaid
I met Alexandra (AKA Alex, THE WIFE) in 2009 during my MRI practicum at KGH. She was a student herself and kindly offered to share her orange with me during a break. Her kind heart and friendly nature was impossible to resist. That summer we developed a friendship that means more to me than anything money can buy. We have traveled across the globe together and have spent hours on the phone solving the world's problems; and even though we live apart, we have rarely missed a birthday or any other chance to visit. Through good and bad; in sickness and in health, the Wife (because the word "bestfriend" doesn't cut it ) has been right by my side. She is a part of the family. With Alex, the champagne glass is always half full; I look forward to toasting with it and her on my wedding day!
Bridesmaid
Marly (AKA Party Marly) came into my life when I moved to Trail over 10 years ago. Although we met at her then place of work, we developed our friendship easily as neighbours. Just a house away from mine, we bonded over many late night (and early morning) drop ins and coffee dates. Marly is my rock and redneck ally. Together we are guaranteed to find some mud and trouble. Our "Wolfpack" summers with Daina will go down in history; filled with stories to share long into our senior years. There is no shortage of fun when Marly is around. She is the life of the party and a light in my heart. Marly is more than a best friend, she is like my second sister and it is a privilege for me to have her in my bridal party.
Bridesmaid
I have known Mikayla (AKA Mikkie) since birth. Her birth, actually. I have enjoyed being her Auntie for 17 years now. She is my very favorite girly, girl. I value our beach dates and hikes together when she can fit me into her very busy teenage schedule. She shares wisdom with me that always surprises me given her age and I am never disappointed by her current fashion trends. She has a beautiful spirit and I am lucky enough to call her family. We have so much in common, as a result of my amazing sister Jen, and our relationship grows stronger with time. I am so thankful that I waited this long to find the right man, because this flower girl belongs in my bridal party!
