We met Laura and her husband, Rich when we moved to East Grand Rapids. Being our neighbors, our first introduction turned into regular evenings on the porch, evenings out, and family events. Laura and Rich have quickly become part of our chosen family!
Lynnae Guffie

Lynnae and Jeff met over 20 years ago and became fast friends. Having been friends and roommates, they've shared the better part of their lives together and a ton of memories. They have shared the last two-plus decades playing board games, meeting for breakfast, and learning, teaching and growing together.
Rebecca Warner

Jeff and Rebecca met at MINDSCAPE. Rebecca was all business and claimed that she wasn't at work to make friends. But, just like he did with Mike 😀, he eventually wore her down and they became great colleagues and close friends.
Tonya Lowry

Mike met Tonya his senior year of high school and they have been best friends ever since. They have had the opportunity to go to WMU together, work together and grow into adults together. Tonya is always there when Mike needs to talk or process anything, and has grown close to Jeff as well. We are thrilled to have this special person as part of our wedding party!
Heather Schmitt

Mike also met Heather his senior year and is part of the Heather/Mike/Tonya trio that has been an ongoing wonderful friendship for the past 20+ years. Heather and Mike attended WMU together and have so many fun memories of growing up and figuring out adulthood together. We may not see each other regularly anymore, but it's like old times the instant we are back together!
Jessica Zehner

Mike and Jess have known each other since birth seeing as they are only 26 days apart in age! They are not only cousins but best friends. Mike and Jess have literally watched and supported each other grow up, navigating childhood then our 20s, 30s, and now 40s together. Jess stays with us regularly each summer and that has helped Jess get to know Jeff quite well too. When I had to pick members to stand up with me on my side of the wedding party, I couldn't imagine Jess not being there!

While perhaps not an official part of the wedding party, she deserves a special place on this list. Jeff’s stepsister, confidant, and partner in most family crimes, Meredith is one of a kind! As fierce as she is loving, the world could use more people like her. Make sure you get to know this incredible woman! We are both so honored that she asked if she could marry us.
