One of Jackie and Mike's favorites! Strawberry Park Hot Springs blends the environment's natural beauty with the unique stone masonry of their thermal pools. It is a 15-20 min drive or shuttle from downtown Steamboat Springs and the Steamboat Ski Area. These hot springs are gorgeous! **Reservations Required, and weekend times may fill up**
This charming farmers market happens in downtown Steamboat on Yampa street, right by the Yampa River. The market runs every Saturday until September 20th, so this will be the second-to-last market of the year! From 9 AM to 2 PM.
Steamboat is a fabulous place to ride a bike - there's options for renting e-bikes, cruiser bikes, mountain bikes, road or gravel bikes, and you can choose the kind of ride that appeals to you, from gentle paved bike paths that go through town and follow the Yampa River, to riding the gondola up the mountain and mountain biking down (there are beginner to advanced routes down the mountain). There are multiple bike rental shops in town and in the area of Gondola Square where the wedding festivities will be. We've put a link here to one shop with good reviews but there's many options. We're happy to share recommendations for any type of ride!
The town of Steamboat Springs has a smaller ski hill called Howelsen Hill, walkable from downtown, with an alpine slide that runs in the summer and fall. Ride the chairlift up and race the alpine slide down. Mike and Jackie have raced each other down the alpine slide and can recommend it for both kids and adults!
