About the Ceremony

Like everything else in our lives, we endeavor to be guided by God's word. Even this union is nothing less than a gift from God--a unique ministry. We no longer desire to live as two individuals who serve God and others, but rather serve God and others with even greater fervor as one--man and wife. That said, we will allow our actions to speak for us more than mere words, and we pray that we labor in such a way that we bring glory and honor to God. With this in our heart, one of the many teachings of God's word that we understand and trust includes: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

Reception of Dañáe & Mike

4:15 pm - 9:00 pm

Those who really know us well have shared their opinion that "Mike and Dañáe" are really good at helping others. A characteristic that we believe is true of every individual Christian believer. To us, "help" is actualized in various forms - i.e., praying with, sharing some of, giving all of, demonstrating love, rendering compassion and ultimately being of service to others. In the spirit of helping, we are determined to use this event to help support new local business owners that are hardworking and determined individuals from various countries and cultural backgrounds. Some of these wonderful people just opened their doors to their new business and others are aspiring to someday have their own building. As a result, we are happy to support these new owners and bring a fusion of our cultural traditions to our special day. To that end, there will be a traditional Caribbean fused with "Southern" cuisine served at our reception to thank you- our guests - for celebrating with us.

For all the days along the way
