Matron of Honor
I met Stephanie in middle school, where we first bonded over being the two most dedicated members of the spring track team. The afternoons we shared trekking the cross country trails to "work on our long distance running" (read: sneak away from the supervision of our coach to lay in the sun and avoid running) were just the beginning of a friendship that guided me through the following high school years. In college we shared our first ever apartment, adopted two crazy sister kittens, and got to spend three years together as roommates. Through the many trials of growing up and through all of my life's greatest joys, Stephanie has always been by my side - the wedding day will be no exception!
Bridesmaid
As a girl who grew up without any sisters, I’m excited to soon call Lauren one. I knew I’d found a kindred spirit in her after we spent an entire train ride back into the city from Connecticut rapping Lil Wayne together – much to the dismay of the other passengers, I’m sure. We share a love of gin, a weakness for Dylan Murphy’s appetizers, and a totally normal maternal instinct for our cats. I can count on Lauren for anything from grabbing some drinks and watching the Yankees, to convincing me to sign up for a half marathon (despite my aforementioned preference for NOT running long distances). Our friendship has grown in many ways over the years and I’m so happy she’ll be by my side at our wedding!
Best Man
Everyone in the world would be better if they just listened to and did what Matt said. I often say that in jest, but for me it is 100% true. The mistakes I’ve made in life would not have been made if I just did what Matt would do. Through his example he taught me to not care too much about what other people think and do what is most important to me. I couldn’t have asked for a better big brother; great role model, someone to look up to and aspire to be like, motivation to keep me on track and to be successful so as not to let him down. One of the happiest moments of my life was being Matt’s best man, standing next to him as he married Sarah. I'm incredibly happy that it’s now his turn to be mine.
Groomsman
When I started working in NYC it was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream. I loved everything about it, but one thing was missing: my best friend. I met Nick in Michigan when I was 10 & he has been my closest friend ever since. I got Nick to move out here to live with me & experience everything the city had to offer two single guys. We were having a lot of fun until June 2016 when Amy came into the picture & ruined everything! Within half an hour of meeting Amy I told her about Nick, my heterosexual life partner, and told her that we’re a packaged deal. Despite being an idiot that frustrates the hell out of me constantly he’s the most loyal person I’ve ever met. I can’t wait to stand next to him someday at his wedding & I'm proud he’ll be up there with me for mine.
