Tomales Point Trailhead

9.4 miles out and back, rated as moderate. Very likely to spot Tule Elk and definitely will get great views. It gets crowded on the weekends, so plan to arrive early.

Tomales Bay State Park, Heart's Desire Beach, Shell Beach

Visit Tomales Bay State Park, with hiking trails and bayside beaches. Park at Heart's Desire Beach and take the Johnstone trail to Shell Beach. No dogs :(

Inverness Coast - Drake's Beach, Elephant Seal Overlook & Pt. Reyes Lighthouse

A bit of a drive (45 min from Marconi), but worth it! Check out the beautiful Drake's beach, then head down the road to Elephant Seal Overlook to hike a short 0.2 mile trail and see the elephant seals. Nearby, see also Pt. Reyes Lighthouse, built in 1870.
