Venue and Directions

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with you! The ceremony will take place at Block Ranch—please check your invitation for full location details. There will be people directing you to the ceremony location once you arrive and parking will be available for everyone! Kadoka, where the reception is held, is about 45 minutes from the ranch. If you’re attending both the ceremony and reception, don’t worry—we’ve planned a selection of appetizers and drinks to give you time to relax, mingle, and enjoy the transition before the full reception begins.

Accommodations

We’ve reserved a block of rooms at Americas Best Value Inn in Kadoka—please call the hotel in advance to your stay. There are also plenty of other great places to stay in the surrounding areas. Badlands National Park is nearby and offers a variety of options, including campsites, Airbnbs, and other cozy stays for those looking to explore the area. We hope you find the perfect spot to rest and enjoy the celebration

Soft drinks are on us! We’ll have a variety of options, including sodas, tea, and water, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Additionally, there will be a bar set up inside the auditorium, where friendly bartenders will be happy to serve you. A variety of alcoholic beverages will be available.

We’re especially excited to feature a burger buffet, made with beef from both of our families’ operations—bringing a personal and meaningful touch to our celebration! The buffet will also include beans, potato salad, and fresh fruit, offering a variety of flavors for everyone to enjoy. If you have any dietary restrictions that prevent you from eating these options, please reach out to Mikayla so we can accommodate your needs.

During the reception, we’ll have a QR code available for you to scan and share any candid photos you love with us—we’d love to see the moments you capture! We’ve also set aside a special time with Callie for rapid-fire guest photos, ensuring everyone has a chance to get a picture.

Weather Considerations

We pray the Lord blesses us with a beautiful fall day to celebrate our wedding! However, October in South Dakota can be unpredictable, so we encourage you to plan your outfits accordingly. No matter the weather, our wedding will carry on rain or shine. We will do our best to choose a location that provides shelter from wind and rain if needed, ensuring everyone can enjoy the day comfortably. We’re so grateful to celebrate with you and appreciate your understanding as we embrace the beauty of the season!
