Kash and I met through one of our ushers—and my high school best friend—Julia Quast. It all started with one convincing phone call from Julia, who insisted we’d make a great match. After a few calls back and forth, I had Kash convinced to take a road trip to Cheyenne together—our first time meeting in person! After an informal introduction from Julia and a few prayers that Kash wouldn't think I was too crazy, we headed west for what was supposed to be a first date but quickly turned into an unforgettable weekend at Cheyenne Frontier Days. Three days together, great music, and simply enjoying each other’s company—we were inseparable from then on. Not long after, hunting season arrived. Early mornings in the pickup, long days tracking antelope and mule deer—those moments gave us a chance to truly get to know each other. Then came the challenge of long distance: I went off to college while Kash stayed in Midland, and weekends became road trips spent seeing each other and meeting family. Spring rolled around, and on Valentine's Day, Kash secretly bought the ring—I had no idea! On April 13th, 2025, he got down on one knee in my family's old barn, built in 1920. His proposal was a beautiful way of weaving our future as the soon-to-be “Blocks”. The old barn will continue to give us memories and ties to the Dier's family farm. Soon after, we set our date: October 4, 2025. We truly feel that the Lord has blessed every aspect of our relationship, and we can't wait to bring everyone together to celebrate our wedding day—witnessing firsthand the incredible ways God has worked to bring us together.
