Progressive Field
Progressive Field is a great baseball park with reasonably priced tickets and kosher food available. The Guardians play the Padres the weekend of our wedding, so experience Cleveland through America's favorite pastime (and one of ours)! Fun Fact: Progressive Field was one of the first places we went upon visiting Cleveland for the first time!
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Cleveland is home to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, an iconic landmark celebrating the music and artists that shaped generations. It’s a must-see spot on the lakefront and a symbol of the city’s creative spirit and cultural pride. Whether you scream sing ABBA in the shower or seek out Bruce Springsteen's next stop, this stop has something for you!
The Cleveland Museum of Art
The Cleveland Museum of Art is a world-class museum with an incredible collection spanning thousands of years and cultures. Even better, general admission is free(!), so spend as much or as little time as your art-loving eyes would like.
Pro Football Hall of Fame
The picture above might not be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, but it should be! For any of our sports-loving friends and family, Canton is a short drive away and represents Football Immortality. Though the lack of Tulane representation is disappointing, this is a must if you have some extra time while in Cleveland!
Playhouse Square
Playhouse Square is Cleveland’s vibrant theater district and one of the largest performing arts centers in the country. It’s a cornerstone of the city’s cultural scene, showcasing Broadway shows, concerts, and live performances year-round. When shows go off Broadway, Playhouse Square is one of their first stops! BREAKING: The Lion King will be performing at Playhouse Square for its final weekend of a month-long stop in Cleveland!
Cedar Point
Known as the “Roller Coaster Capital of the World,” Cedar Point is a legendary amusement park located on Lake Erie. It’s a favorite destination for thrill-seekers, offering world-class coasters and one of the most classic amusement park experiences you'll find. The 2nd-oldest amusement park in the country, Cedar Point is truly a bucket list visit.
West Side Market
Something about us: we LOVE a good food market. And West Side Market is a GREAT one. Filled with local vendors, fresh food, and global flavors, West Side Market is a favorite gathering spot that captures the heart of the city’s diverse and vibrant community. Stop in for a treat or a meal if you're in the downtown area!
EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute
EDWINS Leadership & Restaurant Institute is a nationally recognized nonprofit restaurant that provides fine dining while training formerly incarcerated adults for careers in hospitality. Dining at EDWINS offers an exceptional meal and the chance to support a powerful mission rooted in opportunity and second chances (this was our first meal out in Cleveland!). EDWINS is not kosher.
On The Rise Artisan Breads
On the Rise Artisan Breads is our neighborhood bakery known for its fresh-baked breads, pastries, and cozy, welcoming vibe. It’s a local favorite and a perfect stop for breakfast or a coffee while exploring Cleveland. On the Rise just competed in the Mondial du Pain (World Cup of Baking) in Nantes, France and finished Top 10 for pastries and 13th overall - we're not kidding... this place is GOOD.
Mitchell's Ice Cream (Beachwood Shop)
Mitchell’s Ice Cream is a beloved Cleveland institution known for its rich, handmade ice cream and locally inspired flavors. It’s the perfect sweet stop for visitors and a true taste of the city. Considering our love for ice cream, it's unsurprising that Mitchell's has become one of our favorite spots!
Mendel's KC BBQ
Mendel’s KC BBQ is a Cleveland staple serving up kosher classic Kansas City–style barbecue with bold flavors and generous portions. It’s a great spot to experience the city’s food scene with a laid-back, local feel. Whether you keep kosher or not, this is a high-quality meal you won't want to miss.
Van Aken Market Hall
Just minutes from our home, Van Aken is the perfect spot for groups/families. With a diverse array of food and drink options, lots of comfortable seating, cute boutique shops, and even a Mitchell's across the street, Van Aken has something for everyone. Summer is the perfect time for Van Aken, too, as the fun spills into the street with live music and lawn games.
Little Italy
Little Italy has some of the best Italian food around. Two competing bakeries - Presti's and Corbo's will have you comparing (and craving!) cannolis. Check them out and let us know which you think is better! (and then we'll share our opinion)
