It was a sunny September day. Centre Street Church Youth was gathered at the beautiful Baker Park in Calgary, AB. Our faithful groom Isaiah was slacklining with his pals, when a new face caught his eye. As he turned his head, he slipped and fell immediately off of the line. It was the one and only Mikayla. This was Mikayla’s first time in the group - unaware of Isaiah at the moment, Mikayla kept busy in conversation with new people throughout the evening. Head over heals with his newfound love, Isaiah was eager to obtain her number. A few weeks later he did, and they found themselves texting frequently about almost anything. This continued, and they soon became close friends. Mikayla, realizing Isaiah was the only guy she felt she could be completely herself with, his heart of gold combined with incredibly stunning good looks confirmed she had to snag him up. Isaiah, falling even more head over heels realized Mikayla was the girl of his dreams (she was gorgeous, kindhearted, and ridiculously funny). All we can say is that it ended up working out between them... and the rest is history.

After a gorgeous trip to British Columbia, Isaiah engaged to Mikayla on the drive home to Calgary at the Othello Tunnels outside of Hope, BC. When they began their hike, after hearing Mikayla say "this is the coolest place ever", Isaiah knew he chose the right spot. Isaiah got down on one knee on the second bridge overlooking a powerful river and breathtaking cliffs. With a few chuckles and much surprise, Mikayla said YES! After phone calls to family and friends and a celebration dinner in Golden, BC, we arrived back home in Calgary. The next day after eating way too much garlic seafood - Mikayla puked her guts out which made it romantic for everyone. Since then they’ve worked hard at planning their special day and cannot wait to see you in Calgary on December 28th!
