Flight
We would recommend flying into San José International Airport (SJO). From there, Manuel Antonio is about a 2.5–3 hour drive through scenic mountain and coastal roads. We recommend that guests rent a car to get to Manuel Antonio, which also gives you the flexibility to explore the area during your stay! A 4-wheel drive vehicle is a must in Costa Rica. Roads in the area can be narrow, winding, and sometimes unpaved, and a 4WD will make driving easier and more comfortable. Make sure your rental includes full insurance coverage, which is required in Costa Rica. Book early!
Travel Note
Some guests will be staying at Villa Punto de Vista, where the wedding events will take place. We’ll be coordinating directly with those guests about details for their stay. For all other guests, here are a few nearby recommendations. Some of these recommendations are also listed on VRBO/Airbnb, but there are also additional options on VRBO/Aribnb in the area to explore. We recommend booking early as the town is small! Additionally, our travel concierge Carlos Chacon can help to assist directly with accommodations.
