Mikayla’s forever friend. Mikayla met Scheherazade on the second day of first grade when they were assigned to sit at the same table. They have no idea how they became friends, but story goes..at some point during the year, a mean boy made fun of Scheherazade, and Mikayla jumped to her defense by.. hitting him. They have been mentally inseparable ever since.

Keanu

Keanu and Brandon have been friends since the 3rd grade. They both were part of Santa Maria Swim Club for years, and eventually joined Righetti Highschool’s Swim team and Water Polo Team. They also helped start a small Longboarding club that they continued to skate with for years.

Mikayla's college roommate & best friend! Mikayla met Allie at UCLA when they lived across the hall from each other. Mikayla would have sleepovers in Allie's room, and they eventually decided to get an apartment together. They spent the next 2.5 years living in the same bedroom, watching the same shows, sharing the same food, dancing the same dances, playing the same board games, and stressing the f*** out.

Have you ever seen yours, mine, and ours? That’s Kev. Brandon and Kevin are cousins who grew up together. Mikayla met Kevin when she was in ninth grade when he started dating her cousin. Mikayla and Brandon met 2.5 years later when Mikayla went to Kevin’s house for a party. Without him, the bride and groom would not be here today, and also, they would not be affording rent. Thanks Kevy!

Lauren

Mikayla met Lauren during grad school interviews where they both found out they were rejected from UCSD because another girl had a scheduled interview and they had.. nothing. Lauren and Mikayla make attempts to study together but usually end up eating, drinking, and gossiping instead. Mikayla also adopted Lauren’s roommate’s foster kitten and Maka is obsessed with Lauren.

Alex

Alex and Brandon are cousins and hung out a lot while growing up. Their parents took them camping a lot. Tried to convince Alex to take his dad's RV camping forever and ever..he didn't and now the RV is gone. Sad life.

Leana

Mikayla met Leana in their graduate program. Leana did a counseling demo on Mikayla where Mikayla said she wished Brandon would propose. Leana told her to “get over that timeline.” They became close friends, planned a white elephant party, and would incessantly complain about everything. Leana makes 10/10 cheese boards, she loves Mikayla's boxed brownies, and her dog Oreo peed on Lucy once.

Andy and Brandon met in the 7th grade at Orcutt Junior high-school. They both enjoyed playing video games, and they continued to hangout and keep in touch over the years. Andy is easily the nicest guy Brandon has ever met.

Mikayla met Lucy in their graduate program. On the first day of class, Mikayla asked Lucy to join her carpool. Lucy didn't take her up on it, but she showed up 2 weeks later after another friend asked her to join. They live 10 minutes away from each other. Their friendship involves Mikayla aggressively peer pressuring Lucy into eating carbs, Lucy peer pressuring Mikayla into drinking red wine, texting each other good morning, and being pretty funny.

Ryan and Brandon met during their college years. Want to hear silly jokes and laugh until you cry? Ryan is that type of guy.

Annie

Mikayla met Annie in their graduate program. They were supposed to do a project together but neither of them realized they were supposed to be working together. Annie called Mikayla literal days before it was due, and they both laughed at their tragedy. Annie has a sheer talent of making anything she says sound incredible, her voice alone is basically therapy, and she’s also one of the funniest people ever. You can catch her reacting to your texts 12 hours after you send them.
