If you have any questions or need further clarification beyond what’s provided here, don’t hesitate to reach out to either of us or our wedding planner, Samantha. ♥
Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

White Birch Wedding Barn 11000 Briggs Hwy, Cement City, MI 49233 https://whitebirchweddingbarnmi.com/

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin at 4 PM, and we kindly ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes early to allow time to find your seats and settle in before we start.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by August 1st, 2025 to help us finalize details with our venue and vendors. Any responses received after August 1st, 2025 will be marked as a "No." We’ll likely send reminders a month or two in advance, but please don’t rely on this. Unfortunately late RSVPS are not accepted!

Question

What if I can't attend?

Answer

If you’re unable to attend, we will certainly miss your presence. Please RSVP "Will NOT Attend" if you know you can’t make it. If you’ve already RSVP'd as attending but later find you can’t, please let Jordan or myself know as soon as possible. Mikaela: (616) 802-0678 Jordan: (616) 888-5427

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’d love for everyone to wear formal/cocktail attire in a soft, pastel color, though it’s not mandatory—just highly encouraged! Please, no jeans. It would mean so much to us to see you all dressed up alongside us on our special day, and it’ll make for some beautiful photos. Our ceremony will be outdoors and our reception will be both indoor and outdoor with air conditioning available to keep you cool. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all and make unforgettable memories!

Question

What colors to avoid?

Answer

Please refrain from wearing white dresses, as I’d love to keep that for my special day! ♥ However, white button-ups are perfectly fine for the men. The bridesmaids will be wearing sage (a soft, light green) and while you're welcome to wear this color, we recommend and encourage other soft, pastel colors to avoid matching. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors? Are they located at the same place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the same beautiful location—White Birch Wedding Barn in Cement City, MI—so there’s no need to travel between venues! The ceremony will take place outdoors, while the reception will be a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. The reception area is fully equipped with air conditioning and heating, as well as convenient, fully stocked bathrooms.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

As much as we adore children (Mikaela is a PICU nurse, after all!), we’ve decided to make our wedding and reception adults-only. The only exception will be potential ring bearers/flower girl. We simply want everyone to be able to relax and enjoy the day without worrying about little ones.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of free parking at White Birch Wedding Barn, with ample space for everyone. For those who may need assistance, there's a roundabout for easy drop-off of handicapped guests right at the venue entrance. Otherwise, it's just a short walk from the parking area.

Question

Can I take pictures throughout the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having an "unplugged ceremony", so we kindly ask that phones and cameras be put away during this special moment. The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say “I do.” We’ve hired professional photographers to capture the moment, and we promise to share the photos with you as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you’d like! We’ll also be setting up a QR code for a shared wedding photo album, so stay tuned for that!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be providing a full bar for all our guests, so come ready to celebrate! However, we kindly ask that everyone be responsible and respectful of the space. Our bartenders will monitor consumption and may cut guests off if needed, as guest safety is our top priority.

Question

Can I bring a guest or date?

Answer

Due to limited capacity, we can only accommodate those specifically listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. For those with a plus-one, please be sure to RSVP for your guest. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accommodate any last-minute additions.

Question

Do you have hotel blocks for guests?

Answer

Yes! For more details, please refer to the "Accommodations" tab.

Question

What type of food will we be having?

Answer

FAJITAS. OUR FAVORITE! We’ve teamed up with a fantastic catering company to bring you a delicious spread. For cocktail hour, enjoy a grazing table with pretzels, meatballs, cheeses, fruits, and more. For dinner, we’ll be serving up fajitas with steak, chicken, and shrimp, plus a variety of flavorful sides. Late-night snacks will include cheeseburger sliders and caramel apples, and of course, there will be a dessert table to end the night on a sweet note!

Question

How does seating work?

Answer

The ceremony will have open seating, so feel free to sit wherever you’d like. However, the first few rows will be reserved for close family. For the reception, there will be assigned seating.

Question

Are gifts expected?

Answer

We’re so grateful for your love and support—your presence is truly all we need! ♥ While gifts are not expected or required, if you’d like to give us something, please feel free to visit the registry tab for ideas.

Question

Things to do during the reception?

Answer

YES! Feel free to enjoy all of the following: cornhole, a putting green, dance floor, Jenga, flower swings, and fire pits! ♥

Question

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

In accordance with the venue’s policy, this is a non-smoking facility, and the rule is strictly enforced. Mikaela also has family members with allergies, so we kindly ask that everyone respects this policy. If you need to smoke, please step off the property, but you’re welcome to return afterward. This includes cigarettes, vapes, marijuana, and all other forms of smoking.
