Getting to Monteriggioni, Italy
Our wedding estate is located in Chianti Classico, 10 km away from Siena and 60 Km from Florence, in the heart of Tuscany. We highly encourage our guests to stay in Monteriggioni at one of our recommended hotels, so you are close to the venue. Coordinated transportation throughout the weekend will be available from our recommended hotels to the villa. Siena (10 km): 10 min.by car, 20 min. by public transport Florence (60 km): 49 min. by car, 90 min. by public transport Rome (250 km): 2.15 h by car, 2.45 h by public transport Milan (350km): 3.46 h bby car, 4.20 h by public transport
Flight
Florence Peretola Airport (FLR)
For our guests traveling by plane, the closest airport to our venue is Florence Airport (FLR). Those that are flying from the United States, FLR doesn't offer a direct long-haul flight, but the city’s airport Aeroporto di Firenze-Peretola is connected to Europe’s major cities like Amsterdam, London, Paris, Barcelona, Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt, etc. There are many carriers you can book your flights on including KLM, Air France, Swiss, British Airways, Vueling, and more. Florence Airport is approximately 50 minutes from Monteriggioni.

For those that would like to rent a car and drive from Florence to Monterggioni, The Florence airport offers many car rental options for our guests. Hertz, Enterprise, Budget, Thrifty, Avis, Sixt, and more are all available and offer very easy access from the airport.

TRENITALIA to Castellina in Chianti-Monteriggioni
For those that will be traveling from another part of Italy or Europe, the train is a great method of transportation to Tuscany. Castellina in Chianti Station is 10 minutes drive away from our venue.

For those that will be traveling from another part of Italy or Europe, the train is a great method of transportation, Trenitalia offers trains into Siena Station. Siena Station is about 18 minutes from our venue.

Below are some recommended hotel options for our wedding weekend, We do not have coordinated hotel blocks/booking codes as this is not customary in Tuscany! Shuttles will be available from two of these hotels, but given there are so many beautiful lodging options in the countryside we completely understand if you book elsewhere, During the RSVP stage we will ask where you will be staying so we can try to coordinate as many pickup points close to other accommodations as possible, but Monteriggioni Village, and Borgo San Luigi will definitely have shuttle stops.
