Florence is one of our favorite cities in the world, and a great way to start or end your vacation in Italy. From legendary museums to amazing Food, Breathtaking Architecture, and walking the cobblestone historical streets, you can find a little bit of everything and would make a wonderful addition to your travels.
Visit Siena
With its incredible Duomo, picturesque main square (Piazza del Campo), medieval streets to explore, and views from the top of Torre del Mangia, there is plenty here to keep you busy all day. This is a city that one can revel in simply walking the streets, viewing historic buildings at every turn, eating at a charming osteria or restaurant and learning about the past times when Siena grew rich from its wool industry, was rich culturally, architecturally and was one of the most powerful banking centers in Italy.
Visit San Gimignano
San Gimignano is a stunning medieval town in the heart of Tuscany, famous for its skyline of towers that rise above the rolling hills. You can admire the frescoes, sculptures, and churches that adorn the town, or explore the surrounding countryside by bike, mini van, or on foot. San Gimignano is also a paradise for wine lovers, as it produces the renowned Vernaccia white wine and other local specialties.
