It's not a romantic story. We've had mutual friends for quite some time. We knew who each other were, timing was never in our favor before. It just so happen that in mid-May 2016 timing was in our favor. Tucker and I ran into each other one day and he asked if I would like to grab a beer after work sometime. I accepted his offer and showed up for that beer after work. The conversation flowed naturally and the chemistry was apparent between the two of us. Needless to say, here we are today creating a lifetime of memories.

Tucker had been planning this proposal for quite some time. He had bought the ring back in September waiting for the right time to propose. In having asked my children for their blessing to marry me, he was planning the perfect engagement. It was Tuesday, January 9th 2018. Brett Dennen, musician and good friend of Tucker's, was playing at the Taos Mesa Brewery. It was Tucker's idea, of course, for me to call and invite some of our close friends to go with us to watch him play. So, I called up all of our friends and told them the plan. Little did I know, that Tucker had spent that day calling our friends already to let them know what was going on and driving out to my father's house to ask for his blessing as well. We get to the Taos Mesa Brewery and go back stage to talk with Brett (whom already knew the plan!) Tucker's parents show up, our friends show up and out of no where my 2 oldest children show up. Still had no idea what was going on around me. Brett started playing, we were listening and having a great time. Next thing I know Tucker tells me that I need to go up on stage with him while Brett plays this next song. He had me believing that we were going to prank Brett while he was playing, so once again I had no clue what was about to happen. Brett is playing "The One who Loves You the Most", one of my favorite songs. I am standing watching him play, and the next thing I know I turn back to Tucker who is down on one knee! I am in shock and disbelief. Out of no where comes my dad and my stepmom, filming the entire proposal. I of course said yes....Brett told us to quit stealing his light and congratulations. Words can't express the emotion that was in that night. We have to say that my kids and friends are pretty good at keeping secrets. We hope that our life continues to be full of love, laughter and never ending fun!
