We met on a bench outside my lobby on a Saturday night around 2 am while Michelle was waiting for an Uber after leaving a party in the building. I was coming back home, I saw her, and I couldn't help but try to talk to her! l I said something very intelligent like "Damn girl, you are beautiful" and sat down next to her. We had a funny conversation where I tried to speak Spanish and she was pretty dismissive, but I still got her number. Eventually I even got a date, but only one. Probably because my Spanish vocabulary ran out and she was very busy working on a telenovela. After TWO months she finally called me back, we met again in the same lobby, went out, and this time I got a third date! Since then, we haven't stopped seeing each other.

I was throwing hints to Nathan saying that I wanted to get engaged before I turned 25, so the day before my birthday, he planned the most romantic surprise! A limousine came to pick me up and drove me to Michi's where all my friends were waiting for me. I saw him standing next to this incredible balloon arrangement all over the wall that said "Marry Me." He got down on one knee and recited a beautiful speech. The whole thing was like a dream, I couldn't believe it! And the ring... It was so perfect, I obviously started crying and was totally shocked. I finally kissed him and said YES!! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you. See you in Cartagena!
