Things to do

Here are a few of our recommendations! We recommend bringing cash with you as many of the smaller villages do not accept cards. If you have any specific questions, feel free to reach out to Corey.

Yelapa Waterfalls

Day Trip

Yelapa is only accessible by water taxi or boat. It has a beautiful beach with soft and fine sand. It is about a 3 mile intermediate hike that reaches two small waterfalls.

Marietas Islands

Day Trip

The Marietas Islands is a small group of Islands often called the Galapagos of Mexico. Now a National wildlife and marine reserve, this amazing place is teaming with wildlife. Get ready to spot Blue Footed Boobies!

Playa los Muertos

Local Beach Cove

A 10-minute walk from the city center through a cemetery (which is how it has coined its name that translates to 'Beach of the Dead') to a smaller and less crowded beach. There are beach chairs and umbrellas for rent. Cash Only.

Playa Las Cuevas

Day Activity

This beach is accessible with a short walk through the jungle. If you are looking for a more remote and quiet beach experience. For a guided hike, follow @ecohike on Instagram for more information.
