Should I stay in Oregon City near the Venue or in Portland?

Answer

Oregon City is a beautiful town, but it is a suburb with not much going on. If you are hoping to see more of Portland and explore, I would recommend you stay in Downtown Portland, The Pearl District, or Northwest Portland.

What is there to do in Portland?

Answer

Portland is known for its trees, scenery, hikes, and Food! Please check the "Things to do Tab" for some of our favorite places in the area. Portland has so many hikes near and outside the city that feature beautiful views. The food scene is also amazing. Some of our favorite spots include Life of Pi, Grassa, Wild Fynn, Fish and Rice, and Portland City Grill.

When should I start booking my travel?

Answer

If you are flying out of DFW, I would recommend you book your flights as soon as possible as there will be 40+ people travelling from DFW. If you are not flying out of DFW, 6-8 weeks is typically when you will see the best pricing. For large groups, I would recommend booking your stay as soon as possible as there will be several large groups booking rental homes for the wedding. For smaller groups, 2-3 months before the wedding would be ideal.

What's the weather like in Portland in June?

Answer

Early June is usually mild and sunny, with highs in the 70s and cool evenings. Please make sure to bring a warm jacket for early mornings and evenings.

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoor, and the reception will be indoors.
