Comuna 13 is safe and welcoming! You can book a tour online or join one on arrival. Tours are in Spanish or bilingual, led by local residents who share powerful stories of the community’s past. Each tour is unique, and guides take great care of you while showcasing one of Medellín’s safest, most vibrant areas. Be sure to take photos of the murals and lookout points, and learn the difference between murals and graffiti to fully appreciate the art. As with any travel experience, it’s always wise to remain mindful and cautious La Comuna 13 es segura y acogedora. Puedes reservar un tour antes o unirte al llegar. Los recorridos son en español o bilingües, dirigidos por locales que comparten historias de la comunidad. Cada tour es único y los guías cuidan bien a los visitantes. Te van a mostrar una de las zonas más seguras y vibrantes de Medellín. Hay muchos murales y miradores, y van a aprende la diferencia entre murales y grafiti. Ready for some breathtaking views of Guatapé?! From the colorful zócalos that decorate every building to the panoramic sights at the top of El Peñol rock, there’s beauty at every turn. The town is full of history and charm, and each corner has a story to tell. Be prepared for a bit of a climb (740 steps to be exact) if you decide to scale the rock, but the view from the top is absolutely worth it. And while you’re there, don’t forget to try one of Antioquia’s most famous meals, la bandeja paisa, a hearty dish that’s a true taste of the region. Preparados para las impresionantes vistas de Guatapé?! Desde los coloridos zócalos que decoran cada edificio hasta las panorámicas en la cima de la Piedra del Peñol, hay belleza en cada rincón. Si deciden subir, prepárense para el reto: son 740 escalones, pero la vista desde arriba lo vale completamente. Y no olviden probar uno de los platos más famosos de Antioquia, la bandeja paisa, una comida abundante y típica de la región.
