Arrival at Uncle Sam's Shuttle

3:15 pm - 4:00 pm

Uncle Sam Boat Tours
45 James Street, Alexandria Bay, NY 13607

Summer Wedding River Casual

Shawn & I will leave your Admission Tickets to Boldt Castle at "Will Call" at the Admissions Booth on Heart Island once you arrive off the shuttle. If you choose to follow our itinerary, we are having The Liberty shuttle all guests over at 3:15pm. There is parking right at the dock where The Liberty's seasonal slip is as you enter under The Capt. Thompson's Resort Sign (at the hotel next to the boat line ticket booth) and hook around to the waterfront on the channel side. Your shuttle should get you to Heart Island around 3:45pm where you will have some time prior to the 4:30pm ceremony. There are concessions available to the public if you find need. You may take the public shuttle at any time that day on your own for $10. The shuttle runs on the half hour all day. After our ceremony there will be time between 5:00 and 5:45pm prior to our Dinner Cruise on The Liberty departing from the castle at 6:00pm. We will return to Uncle Sam's Boat Dock to disembark at 8pm.

Ceremony

4:30 pm

Boldt Castle (The Dove-Cote Tower)
1 Heart Island, Alexandria Bay, NY 13607

Summer Wedding River Casual

From its very conception Boldt Castle’s historic halls and grounds were filled with romance. Built in 1900 by George Boldt as a tribute to the love he felt for his wife Louise, today it remains a testament to their enduring love story. Surrounding the 19th century home are numerous gardens containing thousands of flowers as well as several stone structures of the same era, including the Gazebo, Alster Tower, Dove-Cote and the Powerhouse. Ceremonies are located at the Dove-Cote, allowing couples to make a grand entrance out of Boldt Castle. This section of the grounds, commonly called the courtyard, also overlooks the St. Lawrence River from three directions. The Dove-cote, also known as The Hennery, was the first structure George Boldt had built in 1895. It orginally was built to house his collection of fancy fowl and exotic birds. It is located to the northeast, "downriver" end of the Heart Island and has become the location for wedding ceremonies.

Dinner Cruise on The Liberty

5:45 pm - 8:00 pm

Summer Wedding River Casual

After the Ceremony Shawn & I will take few pictures to capture our special day between 5-5:30pm. You are all welcome to explore the castle and beautiful grounds and meet us back at the dock to board The Liberty Charter Boat at 5:45 for the 6-8pm Dinner & Drinks Cruise. Music will be provided by the acoustical talent of Travis Rocco. An open bar will be available as soon as you board and we will promptly enjoy a catered buffet style dinner by The Blu Anchor as we celebrate our marriage, our friends & family, and our beautiful St. Lawrence River.
