There is a small local airport for Hudson Valley, but Newark, LaGuardia, and JFK offer many more affordable flights. Poughkeepsie is about 90 minutes away from New York City via train or about 2 hours by car.

Poughkeepsie is located at the northern terminus of Metro-North Railroad’s “Hudson Line”. It takes about 1.5 hours from Grand Central to Poughkeepsie. We recommend sitting on the left side of the train on the way up for the best river views!
