It's all happening!

After years of John Nordstrom/dad asking both of us to meet and talk to each other, his perseverance finally paid off and we gave in to his 'wisdom'. At a boat show in January 2018, John/dad finally convinced Kiley, after a couple of beers to take a phone call from his daughter. We started this amazing journey at 9 pm that night and talked for 6+ hours. There wasn't a moment of awkward silence, the questions and answers were flowing like fine red wine and Busch light, the discussions and topics had no boundaries- shared all our life goals and most memorable moments. Needing some sleep we both agreed to end the marathon and set up a time to meet in the next few days. Michelle picked a very romantic place- The Beerhouse, they have all the basic essentials for a first date. Beer and appetizers! The next 'date' was all about Sushi, yep we both love it! It was clear to us at that moment that there were some crazy strong feelings and a strong twist of I'm sitting here with my soul mate. On the third date, we went bowling, that's when Kiley showed me his mad bowling 'skills'. The 5th game proved to be a pivotal moment in what was to come. I asked Kiley if he would let me win and after I threw two straight gutter balls, what's a man to do? Forfeit, no way! Throw gutter balls for the remainder of the game? Nope, he threw strikes, one right after another. I'm glad he didn't let me win that night and that he stayed true to his competitive take no prisoners approach. Those are the reasons I fell in love with him in the first place. Connection made!! We've spent the last two years learning, growing and becoming a family of four, finding balance in work and daily schedules and routines. It's never a dull moment in our house and I wouldn't change it for the world. This is love and commitment beyond measure and I thank God everyday for our life! We want to thank our families and friends for the love, acceptance and support. We love you all so much!!
