Here are some Fun Facts about the surrounding area where our weekend celebration will take place:
* The name 12 Apostles refers to a mountain formation that towers above the hotel. Try counting the 12 peaks!
* The 12 Apostles are twice as old as the Rockies, and much older than the Himalayas.
* Listen for the Noon Gun, originally a navigational signal, fired every day since 1806 from Signal Hill, near the 12 Apostles, with two exceptions: in 1895 a spider crawled over a relay, causing a gun to fire at 10:30 instead of noon, and in 2005 a technical glitch prevented firing.
* Table Mountain (TM) is home to more plant species than the entire United Kingdom and is the only natural structure on earth to have a constellation ("Mensa") named after it.
* The TM ghost frog, found only on the slopes of TM, is one of the world's most critically endangered animals.
* At least 22 species of snakes have been identified on TM!
* TM’s highest point is 1,086m, twice as high as the Freedom Tower.

CPT is the closest airport to our venue and about a 30-40 minute drive to the hotel. For those flying in from overseas do book early if possible as airfares can change as we get closer to the date.
