Josh and Michelle met at a dive bar in Bermuda on a Wednesday night. He was out with a group of friends celebrating a signed lease and Michelle was out with her netball team. Michelle had a bit of liquid courage and went up and asked Josh if he was a "Canadian accountant because he looked like one". We spent the rest of the night talking and getting know to each other and the rest is history!

We picked out the ring together earlier in 2023, so Michelle knew a proposal was coming. Josh had been planning more dates over the months leading up to the proposal to make sure Michelle wouldn't be suspicious when the day came. The day of the proposal Josh suggested that we go on a hike and have a picnic at Abott's Cliff, a park with a stunning view we had went to when we first started dating. The weather was overcast and there were sprinkles of rain, so Michelle didn't have a clue the proposal was coming as we enjoyed our picnic. At the end of the picnic Josh suggested a picture together to get Michelle standing and then he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife! She happily said yes (17 times)!
