Please RSVP by April 9, 2022. Follow the directions on the RSVP page to let us know who will be attending!
We respectively request that all guests 18 and older be fully vaccinated by the day of the wedding. We want to celebrate with everyone! But also want to provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere in accordance with all health and safety guidelines We will have hand sanitizer available for guests and some disposable masks if desired. The ceremony is outside and the reception is in an outdoor covered pavilion. The windows to the pavilion can be opened for fresh air circulation. Dinner will be a served buffet. Venue staff will be plating your meal for you! If you have any additional concerns, please contact us.
We know that not everyone may want to wear a mask at our wedding, but we completely respect those who do. All adult guests will be vaccinated, but we will leave this up to your comfort level. If you do want to wear one, we will have some disposable masks available, but for something more stylish, please bring your own!
Yes! Please look at the Travel tab of the website for our recommendations. We have booked hotel blocks with the Meadowview Conference Center and the Hampton Inn.
Your wedding invitation was addressed specifically to the people invited. If you already threw out the envelope and can't remember what it said, no worries! When you RSVP, it should tell you if you have a plus one or not. Please let us know if you feel that we missed a plus one.
Your wedding invitation was addressed specifically to the people invited. If you already threw out the envelope and can't remember what it said, no worries! When you RSVP, it should tell you how many people you are RSVPing for, including kids. Please let us know if you feel that we missed some kiddos.
We recommend cocktail attire: Wear cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and dark jackets and slacks. But wear what feels most comfortable for you!
Ceremony starts at 5:30 pm on 4/30/22. We recommend arriving 15-30 minutes prior to the start time so you don't miss anything!
Yes! There is free parking at the ceremony/reception site. When you arrive at the Chateau Selah from the street, there will be a gravel lot on your right. This is NOT the parking lot. Drive straight up the hill, up the short steep slope (your heart may skip a beat!). There will be signs pointing you to the guest parking once you reach the top.
We currently are not planning on providing transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony.
The Chateau Selah's address is 525 Yoakley Gottland Shoals Rd, Blountville, TN37617. If you are coming from the Kingsport hotels, take I-26E to I-81N. Take exit 63, then turn left on Airport Ext/Shipley Ferry Rd and another left on Shipley Ferry Rd. Take a left on Yoakley Gottland Shoals Rd and you should see a sign on your left for the Chateau Selah in about 0.7 miles. Drive up the road going up the hill (its a little steep!) and there will be parking on your left once you reach the top. Follow the signs for guest parking!
The ceremony will be outdoors. The reception is in a covered pavilion with facilities. There are fans and heaters inside the pavilion. We will also have access to the main floor and basement of the house.
Both the ceremony and reception are at the same site (the Chateau Selah!). After the ceremony, guests will be provided cocktails and appetizers. Enjoy the time to mingle with friends and family! The reception will start about an hour after the ceremony ends.
The reception will end around 11 pm. Guests are free to leave earlier if desired.
Early spring in Tennessee can be unpredictable! Averages for this time of year are 56-70F with low's of 46-55F. We are hoping for a warm sunny day with no rain! (but it wouldn't hurt to be prepared)
Please let us know in the RSVP if you have a specific food allergy. There will be fruit, cheese, and charcuterie during cocktail hour. The reception will have a served buffet.
