Great place to grab a quick bite and some ice cream! Michelle gets the Peppermint Stick ice cream every year, and Chris loves their vanilla malts.
A great little shop with locally made and sourced books, toys, clothes, and goodies! Michelle and Chris love to go taste all the samples they have out. Michelle loves Boutique upstairs, and always got the homemade peanut butter fudge as a child.
The tallest mountain in Vermont, and a great climb. Take the Gondola up and scramble the last 1/4 of the hike (which Michelle and her family used to do), or hike up Hell Brook, which is one of the most difficult but rewarding hikes we have ever done!
About 45 minutes north of Stowe, Burlington has a ton to do. You can visit Lake Champlain, ride bikes along the bike path, or visit Church Street, with lots of coffee and chocolate shops, places to buy outdoor gear, and great restaurants. Chris and Michelle always head to Outdoor Gear Exchange to look at all the amazing hiking equipment! We also love Uncommon Grounds for coffee, and Crow Bookshop for some great cooking and art books.
Michelle and her family have biked this path more times than they can count! Ride into town and get ice cream at the Malt Shop, or stop for a swim in the river. You may even see some cows on your ride!
The name really says it all....
Great Sunday morning farmers market (we LOVE the cookies and the extra spicy salsas).
Great popovers!
One of our favorite hikes - third tallest mountain in Vermont!
Our venue has a brewery...I mean c'mon....
Amazing selection of cheese and wine, along with other Vermont treats.
The home of what was Michelle's favorite restaurant growing up (pizza of course), but she conceded to the fact that this place is pretty amazing too.
Great for a country-style Vermont style breakfast.
We stop here on the way up and back for every trip. Chris says the turkey club is the best sandwich in the world.
Another Friedman (and now Manning) family favorite - barbecue cooked in a bus!
So. Much. Ice. Cream.
