How We Met

Just Love

Our story started with a little help from family and conversation at work. One day, while talking with her coworker Tiffany, who is also Brandon's cousin's wife, Michelle jokingly complained that it felt like there were no good guys out there. Tiffany disagreed and started telling Michelle all about Brandon, describing exactly the kind of person Michelle was looking for. Michelle decided to add Brandon on Facebook while Tiffany was still talking about him. She even exclaimed, "He doesn't even know you exist!" That was true.. but not for long. Brandon started texting Michelle the next day, followed with a date in the park the day after that. We spent 3 hours in the park walking Silver, talking about our lives, and drinking our coffees from Just Love Cafe.

The Proposal

The Dragon

Michelle's Perspective: Brandon is a terrible liar! We had already designed a ring for me so I knew it was coming soon. Brandon insisted that I go with him on a driving trip with his friend Joseph to The Dragon. The Dragon is an 11 mile road in Eastern Tennessee with 318 curves.... I was pretty hesitant. Leading up to the trip Brandon kept saying how "excited" he was. I know he likes to go driving but why was he SO excited for this driving trip? His friend Joseph is a photographer and Brandon had mentioned that Joseph may want to try out a new lens by taking pictures of us... hmm. Finally, he put on his packing list for the trip *Circle* We get up to The Dragon in the morning and I almost puked. To help my nausea settle we decided to walk a nearby trail. The trail led to a lookout tower where a few people were taking pictures. The view was beautiful! A man had asked me to take a picture of him and his girlfriend, little did I know that he was going to propose to her. Those poor things probably have me screaming in their proposal video that I quickly took. That evening we all decided to go for a drive to find a great sunset spot. I watched as Brandon nervously paced around the overlook while I stayed in the car waiting for them to give me the okay for pictures (it was so cold). Brandon got down on one. knee in front of a beautiful sunset and beautiful fall foliage. He also forgot his speech he wanted to give beforehand since he was so nervous in the moment, but he remembered the important part. "You know how much I love you, will you marry me?" He gave me the rest of the speech in the car :)
