Too busy being engaged in love!
Let's go waaaaaay back, back into time, back to a cold day late in January 2022, the 27th to be exact! Michelle needed some body work done to her car, her brother frequented a shop near by and recommended their services. Michelle headed over to get an estimate done and was met by a pleasant, very professional representative named Anthony. She made him laugh and his gapped smile was exposed; immediately and unbeknown to her, he was intrigued... 30 days later on March 1st, when the business at hand was concluded... Anthony got up his nerves and asked, "Are you married?" Michelle looked up at him from her dent free freshly painted car, and really looked for the first time at him (in that way) and said... (wait for it) "No, nope, uh uh, not at all!" A whole very slow month later (24 days to be exact) filled with weeks of "good morning, how are you, have a great day" texting, then a couple weeks of phone calls lasting hours, to finally a date, a first date March 24, 2022 at the Midnight Diner! Michelle had ditched a "Singles Spring Fling" event, and instead heavily hinted that if Anthony was suggesting something better, she would go! And he did! Legend has it, that the conversations about their kids, some deep laughter and the shrimp & grits (add cheese & bacon) did say a lot, but it was the walk to the car that would forever seal Anthony's interest! While walking Michelle to her car, Anthony walked with his hands in his pockets like a true gentleman and here comes Michelle interlocking her arm around his; he was forever changed! They listened to music in the car for hours, even tunes by Tiffany Blu! Who? Yes, Tiffany Blu. Apparently Michelle is a Singer/Song Writer and Recording Artist named Tiffany Blu too! They connected in a mutual love for art, music, their children, good food, passion for good communicating and in so many more ways! They have since then been interlocked! Two peas in a pod! Inseparable Love Birds!
So, it was Friday, July 21st, 2023 when I, Anthony was coming home from a late afternoon completing a custom paint job. On the way home I began to reflect on my life and the new woman that was in it. My many thoughts of "MyChelle" as I like to call her, began to strike up a conversation with God about how amazing this woman has been. How she has shown me that I could trust and love again. How love and marriage could very well be a life of blissfulness that had the strength to last for eternity. She made me feel alive, gave me purpose, confidence and the same void I was feeling in my life she also felt in her own life that is until we met and became inseparable to this day. When I finally got home the emotions was so overwhelming and nothing in me was contradicting what my heart was so eager to do. So I got dressed, went to go purchase "the ring" headed over to MyChelle's brothers' house to propose in front of her family! Once arriving, I asked "My Ma'Holly" (Michelle's mom) to video Michelle and I practicing our dance we had been working on. If anyone knows Ms. Holly, she never sits still for more than two seconds. Ms. Holly got diverted by playing with her granddaughter Victoria and Victoria's friend leaving Michelle and Anthony in her brother Damon's living-room (who by the way had left along with Josh Michelle's youngest son, so there went the idea of the majority of her family witnessing the proposal!) I looked over at Michelle and she said "Why are you looking at me like I'm crazy? The world can look at me like that but you can't!". I responded, "Girl don't you know you mean the world to me?" She quickly said, "Prove it!" That's when I reached into my pocket to pull out the box that held the ring! MyChelle jumped up, with her pointer finger in the air and screamed "WAIT!" Michelle dashes outside and yells, "Mom, come in the house! I think this is about something else! We messing up!!!" Michelle, Ms. Holly and I then all headed to the formal living-room. I put on one of Michelle's favorite songs by Kenny Latimore called "Deserve". We started with the dance but I quickly interrupted and began to tell MyChelle what she meant to me and how life has new meaning with her in it! I dropped down (slowly) onto one knee, and opened the surprisingly illuminating box that shined a bright LED light on "the ring!" The one ring only truly fit for my Queen, my seconds away fiance', my soon to be bride, and my future wife for life! Of course that is if in this moment she was willing and would say yes..... And, whew she did right after Ma'Holly had already said "I Do!" You know, Love is never really perfect, yet when it's done right it will feel like perfection at it finest! Anthony Foreman
