Michelle and Connor first met in the summer of 2022 on the kickball field—yes, the kind where you hold a drink in one hand and try not to spill it while running the bases. What began as friendly competition and post-game flip cup turned into something much more. As summer faded into fall, Connor found himself at the same sports bar every Sunday, where Michelle could reliably be found cheering (and sometimes yelling) for her beloved Giants. Coincidence? Maybe. But more likely, it was just Connor finding any excuse to spend more time with her. Their first official date was on October 19, 2022, at a Colorado Avalanche game, where they cheered on Connor’s favorite team and spent the night getting to know each other better. After a few more Sundays at the Sports Column (RIP) and a day on the slopes together, it was clear—these two were officially inseparable. Over the next two years, they filled their time with weekend ski trips, endless kickball leagues, and adventures far and wide—from the desert of Moab to the peaks of Peru to Oktoberfest in Munich. They cheered on their favorite teams, built a life full of laughter and movement, and spoiled their sweet (and ball obsessed) fur-baby, Charlie, every single day. Then, on February 27, 2025, Connor pulled off the surprise of a lifetime. With a ring in his pocket and a view of Steamboat Springs behind him, he got down on one knee at the top of Emerald Mountain, surrounded by some of their closest friends. Michelle said YES! Now, they can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with all the people who mean the most. Let the adventure continue!
