The test result can be from either an antigen, PCR or LAMP test. It must be original, printed, or electronic proof. *The test must be taken 1 day before the flight’s departure. Depends on how much you want to do or if you are planning on visiting other countries. We suggest at least 7 days and if you want a full Ireland/European trip, 10-12 days is better.
Ireland has some lovely, warm, sunny, summer days....but sometimes the weather can be unpredictable. Please make sure you are checking the weather leading up to your visit to get a more accurate idea. We suggest packing spring clothes, with a few outfits for the windy, colder, and rainier days. It does get cooler at night.
Cash is very helpful to always have on hand in Ireland. We suggest either changing your money at your bank in America or certain banks in Ireland you can walk in and exchange money without having an account but double check before you go. Also some debit cards allow you free atm withdraws overseas before they charge you an international fee.
Honestly that is up to you. In Ireland they drive on the opposite side of the road. Most cars are manual but you can rent automatic. There are many taxi's, buses, and trains around that help make traveling without a car very easy. **We have a lot more information on how to get around on our Travel tab**
There are no uber's or lyft's ANYWHERE in Ireland. But....there is a smart phone app called FREE NOW. It is set up exactly as the Uber & Lyft app but it is for registered taxi's instead of independent drivers. The app is only available to use in Waterford, Cork, Dublin, Galway, and Limerick.*
Our venue is in Dunmore East. We have put together a list of B&B's and hotels in Waterford City and some closer to the venue. Please see our Travel tab for a list of those options.
