Mother of the Bride
Joan gave her daughter the permission of travelling Asia with a stranger from England after weeks of the Bride trying to convince her that he is not a serial killer. Though miles have separated them, Joan has always been a constant source of love, guidance and strength for her daughter. Their bond, unshaken by the distance, has only grown stronger over the years.
Father of the Bride
Günter has been the Bride’s personal Chaffeur for as long as she can remember. While he would have loved to avoid picking her up at all hours of the night, his wife always reminded him that yes, he had to go get her…again. Though his English might not be perfect when talking to the Groom, he’s done his best with smiles, handshakes and grunting. The Bride is looking forward to Günter walking her down the aisle.
Maid of Honor
Lena and the Bride have been best friends since their first day at school and have been inseparable since. Lena played a big part in the Bride giving the english guy in our hostel room a chance, therefore the Groom should be forever grateful to Lena. Since the Bride has moved to England, she continues to miss her bestie, which is why she could not imagine this day without Lena by her side.
Best Man
Tom and the groom have been best friends for many years, mainly due to their shared obsession with Arsenal, questionable golf skills and an endless stream of phone calls that could rival any Podcast. From arguing over football tactics to debating who’s got the worst swing, they have been inseparable. As the best man, he’s just happy he’s still getting a speech after all those phone calls.
Father of the Groom
Also known as “Dad,” “Father,” and “The Guy Who Still Thinks He’s in Charge,” Miles has been preparing for this day since his son first learned how to tie a tie (incorrectly). Once the side-line coach on the rugby pitch, Miles has proudly passed down not only his love for sport but also his talent for shouting at the TV during matches. Now that his son’s in his thirties, their bonding has evolved to include something far more mature: comparing tomato plants and debating the best lawn feed.
Step mother of the Groom
Donna joined the family team with a talent for keeping the chaos in check and pretending not to roll her eyes at all the rugby/golf/gardening talk. When the groom needed help with his very first job application and his dad was too busy “delegating,” Donna stepped in—and nailed it. Thanks to her, he landed the job and the all-important John Lewis discount card (a true family win).
