Airport

The closest airport to the Chateau is Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport (BOD) which is a 35 minute drive via car. Flights appear to be less expensive when flying into a bigger city (Paris, Barcelona, etc.) and then taking a connecting flight or other means of transportation. We recommend flying into Paris and then taking the train to Bordeaux.

Journey time 2-4hrs TGV High speed train (Paris Gare Montparnasse to Bordeaux St Jean train station), several trains daily. Tickets should be purchased in advance.

Travel Note

Directions to Château from Bordeaux Airport

Enter the Bordeaux Ring road heading south east towards Toulouse. At junction 18A, join the autoroute 62 heading south towards Agen and Toulouse. Exit this autoroute at junction 1.1 sign posted La Brede. Turn left onto the N113 towards Castres, Portet and Cadillac. Continue down the N113 through Castres until arriving at a set of traffic lights: turn left at the sign post for Langaron. Continue over the level crossing and follow signs through the small town of Portet which will cross the Garonne river across a suspended iron bridge. At the traffic lights at the end of the bridge, turn left and carry on straight through Langaron. After passing over a mini-roundabout with the Intermarche on the right hand side, continue up the road for another half a km, going past the right hand turning to Capian. Go 50 yards further up the road, turn right at the agricultural garage on the D239 towards Haux. Chateau Lagorce is half a mile on the right opposite the entrance for Ballarin Winery.
