We first ran into each other on the steps of the University Center at High Point University in North Carolina back in 2013. It was love at first sight for both of us, although it took about two years for us to admit that to each other. From then on we kept bumping into each other almost everyday on campus (we later found out that we both would go out of our way to purposely try to run into one another). Although we saw each other every day we never got the nerve up to even say the simplest "hey" as we passed. A few weeks later during HPU's Fall Break, Michayla was at University of Delaware visiting her best friend Kristen. After a few too many mimosas, Michayla decided that she had to talk to Jordan. So she messaged him on facebook "Hey". From then on I don't think a day has gone by that we didn't talk. Even though we talked every.single.day (and went on a few drives in Jordan's Mustang to get cookout milkshakes) for two years straight, we still never told each other our feelings. When people would ask we would say we were "just friends" followed by an inevitable eye-roll from whoever we were talking to. It wasn't until after Jordan graduated that Michayla decided to make the drive down to Charlotte from High Point to visit Jordan. She was supposed to just stay for the day, but that day turned into 3 and from then on they have spent every day side by side. Flash forward 4 (ish?) more years to Mykonos, Greece. We were on the most magical vacation with Michayla's family. We walked down the cobble stone street to the Beef Bar, a restaurant placed perfectly on the Mediterranean beach. There was a candlelit table on the sand, Michayla got so excited when she saw it was empty, little did she know that Jordan had that table set up just for them. After Mackenzie snuck into the restaurant to give Jordan the ring box while Michayla was being distracted by the waiter, Jordan got down on one knee and of course Michayla said YES! through her (many) happy tears.
