Maid of Honor
The brides sister, Emily, has seen this relationship unfold from the very beginning. Before the bride and groom ever dated, Emily was rooting for them to get together from the sidelines of the pizza shop they all worked at. She has been cheering on the bride her whole life, and did not hesitate to start supporting and cheering on the groom even before he started dating her sister. There was simply no better option for maid of honor.
Bridesmaid
Lauren and Michaella met on the first day of volleyball practice in the 7th grade. Michaella had just started school at the Academy of Notre Dame, and Lauren went out of her way to come up and start talking to Michaella, so aggressively she scared her. Once Michaella got past being scared of Lauren, they became best friends.
Bridesmaid
Quinn and Michaella started middle school at the Academy of Notre dame at the same time, in the 7th grade. While they weren’t initially friends, they grew to become inseparable over the course of high school after bonding over their crazy spanish teacher and their love of the beach.
Bridesmaid
Jen and Michaella were introduced through Lauren during science class. She also scared Michaella with her enthusiastic introduction, but they became fast friends. All throughout middle school and high school they spent the majority of their time together in class, theater, choir, and sleepovers in their free time. Even as Jen has spent the last 2 years in Korea, they remain the best of friends.
Bridesmaid
Colleen is the closest Michaella has to a big sister. Since Michaella is the oldest sibling in her family, Colleen was always the person Michaella looked up to growing up. From cousin sleepovers to teaching Michaella how to do her eyebrows, they are cousins by chance friends by choice.
Best Woman
Julian met Rachel at summer camp after moving from Colombia. Their relationship could not have started any worse by disliking each other to the bone. It wasn't until a traumatic injury during an intense kickball game and Rachel put it all aside and was the first person to get help. During their time at Temple they would regularly see each other and hang out at Maxis before classes. As adulthood came and their lives became busier they made sure to regularly find time to have lunch/dinner to catch each other up on all things good and bad.
Best Man
Edward was one of the first friends Julian made after moving to the US from Colombia. Being next door neighbors, they would find each other hanging out at each others houses consistently. Eddies family made Julian feel welcome at any time and were happy to open the door to him. When Julian would come back from Colombia, it always seemed so much had changed, except Eddie. Eddie would be the consistency that made moving back and fourth a little bit easier. Julian found out that Eddie always found a way to truly annoy a person but still sucker them into friendship. Eddie never strayed away from being his true self around anybody and that was very admirable. Eddie is an integral to the friend group and it is a joy being able to grow up with him.
Groomsman
Matthew and Julian first met in 8th grade during lunch time. They had some mutual friends and at first it was unclear if they were actual friends or just school friends. One day Julian had the courage to ask Matt to play basketball outside of school and he accepted. When Matt invited Julian to a Phillies game with his parents, Julian didn’t think he realized how excited he was. Over the years they have made great memories traveling to Europe, becoming roommates, and spending Saturdays watching as much college football as possible.
Groomsman
Dylan and Julian became friends through mutual friends that played Hockey. Julian had not met Dylan for the first 2 or 3 years of knowing him. Julian only knew him through his xbox gamertag even then he could tell Dylan was a good person. He was the creator of their groupchat that all started with 1 youtube link and the rest is a history of memes, videos, and endless laughs. Their closeness grew through the years going to Temple, working at Marias together, and becoming roommates during COVID.
Groomsman
Julian and Tyler met through mutual friends that lived in the same neighborhood. It was clear that the groups love for competing in different sports and messing around made the group grow closer. The friend group quickly turned the term "going up the street" to mean going to Tyler's street and hanging out. When the news came that Tyler was going to move to Texas, it was not clear whether they would keep in touch. Although there was some time that they did not talk, Tyler did make an effort to keep in touch. Even though they live miles apart, they have found time to visit each other and have talk to each other everyday about life, the Sixers, Eagles, podcasts, music, and any random topics comes to mind.
Officiant
Commonly known as Nicky to Michaella and family, known as Dom to others. Dominic is Michaella’s cousin who is a best friend built right into the family. He has always been more of a brother to Michaella than a cousin, and he’s been with her through every stage of life. He immediately bonded with Julian, to the point that Julian is outright disappointed when he doesn’t come to family functions. He is one of the funniest, most loving people the couple knows, which is why they have asked him to officiate the ceremony.
Beer Boy
Aaron and Julian became friends through Rachel. He made Julian feel welcome in his home any time Rachel invited the friend group over. Aaron's love for the Spanish language was something that Julian was not expecting from him, but a very welcomed addition to an already fun person. Whenever music is needed, he can be counted on to put Wisin & Yandel on to get everybody's hips moving. The couple could not think of anyone more fun to act as beer boy, in lieu of a flower girl.
Beer Girl
Michaella and Nicole met through their mutual friend Quinn. They became immediate friends and it felt like they had known each other for years. Nicole makes friends everywhere she goes and is always good for a laugh. Her quick wit and outgoing personality makes her perfect for the job of beer girl to bring light and laughs to our ceremony.
