Is it possible to write a non-vomit inducing "our story" section of a wedding website? If you ended up here, it's safe to say you know at least part of "our story," which has certainly been a Space Mountain of romance tales. The short version is we met at work at NYU; the longer version we'd need several dirty martinis to tell (our mutual drink of choice). Ariel's favorite thing about Mike is the fact that she can finally wear heels around a significant other. It's also impossible not to love Mike. He's a Build-A-Bear of warmth, kindness, generosity and belly laughs, and nothing has brought Ariel more joy than watching him become part of her family and her groups of friends. Ariel's other favorite thing about Mike is he does all of the chores she hates doing, namely handwashing non-stick pans, taking out the trash and making the bed every day (SMDH this is so unnecessary). Other than her undying commitment to perfecting a flawless bolognese, Mike's favorite thing about Ariel is her drive for life. In contrast to Mike's lightweight agoraphobia, Ariel boasts a fiery passion that has opened his eyes to what's possible if you simply take the leap. Leaps include several donut recon road trips, a duo of unexpectedly entrepreneurial side hustles and a near death sojourn to DC on the Bolt Bus because Ariel was too cheap to take Amtrak. Together, our favorite activities include spatchcocking chickens for our friends, watching 90s music videos on YouTube, hanging out with dogs that don't belong to us and binging seasons of Top Chef. We also love coffee, SoulCycle and sweatsuits, which ensures we never lose our connection to our basic roots. Above all else, we cannot WAIT to get married and celebrate with all of you. We know this is trite, but being in Vermont for 3 days with our family, friends, a dancefloor and endless food and drink is all we can ask for in this life. Thanks for reading along, thanks for (hopefully) not vomiting, and we'll see you in September 2022!
