They say you can't believe everything you read on the internet. Luckily, we found something very real and true thanks to an online dating site. When we first met each other, there was both a sense of comfort and excitement. Little did we know that we had each met our "match" that summer day.

From the moment we met in person for drinks at the Zebra Club until now, we have been inseparable... even when we lived 70 miles apart for a period of 20 months. Through thick and thin, side by side, we overcame challenges, supported each other through difficult times, and celebrated accomplishments together. We were two strong individuals who, as a couple, became even stronger.

After over a year of being cooped up because of COVID, we decided to take a weekend getaway to Apple Hill. With Calvin (the dog) in tow, we headed to a beautiful little cabin that was nestled in a grassy meadow and surrounded by tall trees. As we relaxed by the fire pit on our first night there, we were mesmerized by the gorgeous view from our private deck. String lights bordered the meadow, and above us every star in the sky was shining bright ("like a diamond", as we would joke). It was then that Mike decided to pop the question, and it couldn't have been a more perfect setting!
