Question

Will there be transportation to and from the Church?

Answer

We will be providing shuttle service from Water’s Edge to our wedding ceremony at St. Mark’s church (222 McVeagh Road, Westbrook, CT, 06498). Please meet at the hotel valet at 12:15 pm to board the buses, which will leave promptly at 12:30 pm. The shuttles will also be available for transport back to Water’s Edge at the end of our ceremony. Should you wish to drive, church parking will also be available.

Are there Ubers/Taxis?

Answer

There are Ubers, but they are scarce. If you need a taxi you can use Essex Taxi. Their phone number is 860-767-7433.

Answer

Beach-Chic Attire! We encourage guests to wear comfortable shoes for the beach, summer dresses, linen, etc.

Question

What is the dress code for Saturday?

Answer

The dress code for Saturday is Black-Tie Optional. If men prefer not to wear a formal tuxedo, we ask that you please just wear a jacket and tie.

Question

When should I book my room?

Answer

We encourage guests to book their rooms as soon as possible since our wedding falls over the holiday weekend. We have a room block reserved at Water's Edge. These rooms can be reserved by phone call only to Water's Edge. They will only be held until 6 weeks before the wedding date, before they are released back to the public, so please ensure that you book your room prior to May 21st.

Question

How do I book a room at Water's Edge?

Answer

We have reserved a room block at Water's Edge for our guests. Please call the front desk and mention our names. Reservations cannot be made online.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Whether you choose to join us Friday for the Welcome Reception or just for the ceremony and reception Saturday (see schedule tab for times) please ensure you give yourself extra time to travel and get settled in as there is often traffic over the holiday weekend. We highly recommend that you give yourself more time than you anticipate is necessary because of traffic in the Tri-State area.

Question

What Covid precuations are you taking?

Answer

We are following the guidelines of the state of CT. As it stands now, non-vaccinated individuals are required to wear masks indoors at all times. We will also have masks available to anyone who would prefer to keep one on regardless of vaccination status.
