Saint Stephen's Green is an absolutely gorgeous park in Dublin's city center. Around the park you will find a multitude of luxury hotels, great restaurants, and close proximity to Dublin's premier shopping destination, the famous Grafton Street.
One of Dublin's premier shopping destinations and the center of it all. Tip for the Americans; European luxury brands are significantly cheaper in Europe than they are in the states. This is your chance to get those Gucci shoes you've had your eye on. Even bigger tip: sales tax in Ireland and the EU is called VAT (Value Added Tax) and is applied to nearly all products and generally bundled within the ticket price. Individuals visiting Europe are entitled to a VAT refund which can be claimed at your airport of departure. To do this MAKE SURE you ask for a VAT Refund form when checking out & paying. Then simply fill out the form and bring it to the VAT refund desk at the airport. There are some minimum thresholds in place, so this is generally a process for higher price point items, not groceries, dinners, etc. Here's a nifty guide:
The National Museum of Ireland is a collection of 4 separate museums in different locations: Decorative Arts & History, Country Life, Natural History, and Archaeology. All 4 museum admissions are free but some locations require pre-booking. Details can be found at the link.
There are few things that are more iconic of Dublin than Guinness. Therefore, we'll be expecting each of you to consume your fair share at our wedding and during your stay! There's no where better to do so than at the Guinness Storehouse where you can enjoy a really cool tour of the facility and brewing process and finish up with a freshly poured pint with one of the best views of the city.
