Vietnam Travel/Visa Information

Visitor visas To enter Vietnam, you must have either a: - Visa - Visa exemption certificate Australian passport holders are no longer able to obtain visas on arrival in Vietnam. Learn more about visa requirements. For stays less than 30 days, apply for an e-visa through the Vietnamese Government's e-visa portal. https://evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn/ Make sure you enter your details correctly when applying, or you may have to pay a second fee when you arrive or be denied entry to Vietnam. For stays longer than 30 days, please contact the nearest embassy or consulate of Vietnam. Complete the visa application form online. Print it and take it to the nearest embassy or consulate of Vietnam.

Getting around Da Nang

It is fairly easy to navigate the city of Da Nang. Han River is to the West side of the city, with Bach Dang road facing the river. This is also where the majority of restaurants and hotels concentrate. The airport is only 15 minutes away from Han River. The taxi ride costs about 2 dollars one way. Metered taxis are available for low cost. Most popular taxi companies are Mai Linh (0511-356-5656) and Taxi Xanh ((0511-368-6868). Alternatively, download Grab app on your phone and book your transportation online. It's convenience and cheap, but make sure you select the right pick up location as not all drivers can communicate in English
