We welcome your arrival at the Stevens Pavilion in Washington Park at the Hoyt Arboretum from 11:00am, Saturday, July 11th. The ceremony will commence at 11:30. Please see our Travel tab in the menu bar for parking information.

Wedding on the Lawn at Steven's Pavilion

Please join us at 11:30am on the lawn behind Stevens Pavilion for our wedding ceremony! Suggested attire is casual summer wedding. Fancy hats encouraged! Though shaded, the entire event is outdoors in warm weather. Your comfort in attire is most important. Consider lightweight, breathable clothing, and comfortable footwear for the lawn and nearby trail wandering.

Folding chairs will be provided for the ceremony on the lawn. Please let us know of any additional accommodation we can provide for you during the ceremony (or at any time throughout the day). See our "Travel" tab on the menu bar for parking and amenity information. Plenty of water, iced tea and ice will be provided for our guests at all times throughout the day, with coffee and lemonade additionally served at the lunch picnic reception. **Michael and I are unable to formally serve alcohol to our guests within the park, however BYOB is allowed! We invite guests who wish to consume alcohol to contribute to a BYOB wine potluck (for guests 21+), white and blush suggested. We will be contributing to the BYOB and cooler space will be available :)** We encourage guests to please bring a mask to wear during the ceremony and times of close proximity. We will have some disposable masks available if you do not have one to wear <3

Picnic Lunch Reception at the Pavilion

Please join us for a buffet-style picnic reception! Lunch will be served in the open air pavilion at large picnic tables.

You are welcome to sit anywhere you like! In addition to water, and iced tea available at the drink station throughout the day, lemonade and coffee will be served. Cake (Lemon with honey-lavender buttercream) will be cut and served following lunch. The cake is not vegan, nor gluten-free, however we will be serving 5 flavors of Missionary chocolate truffles, which are both gluten-free and vegan! (Earl Gray, Passion Fruit, Strawberry, Lavender, & Rootbeer).

Rumored Champagne Toast?

1:00 pm - 1:15 pm

As we mentioned, Michael and I are not allowed to formally provide alcoholic libations within the park, but BYOB is allowed ; ) We have it on good authority the mother of the bride may be BYOBing champagne for a champagne toast following the ceremony. We welcome any of our guests who would like to say a few words, share a story, or offer a blessing to do so at this time.
